Dissolution: Process of Elimination (EP 2026) Review

"Process of Elimination" is the debut EP by Australian euro beatdown band Dissolution, is a vicious slab of Australian beatdown hardcore that delivers exactly what the cover art promises: darkness, violence, and pure mosh fuel. Across four tracks,  Dissolution blend crushing downtempo riffs, breakdown heavy songwriting, and a grim atmosphere that feels closer to euro beatdown and slam infused hardcore than traditional hardcore punk. The EP wastes no time, hitting hard from the opening moments and maintaining an oppressive intensity throughout its short runtime. Released on June 1, 2026, the EP features the tracks Paid In Blood, Hands of Judgement, Hardballer, and ...Misery of the Hopeless....

What makes Process of Elimination stand out is its commitment to heaviness over complexity. Every song is built for impact, packed with punishing breakdowns, hateful vocals, and a bleak atmosphere that will appeal to fans of beatdown, downtempo hardcore, and slam influenced acts. The EP focuses on delivering relentless aggression and succeeds by keeping things raw, direct, and brutally effective. A short but crushing release that proves the Australian underground continues to produce some seriously heavy music.

"A relentless beatdown assault loaded with crushing riffs, brutal breakdowns, and enough mosh parts to leave a dent in the floor."

Atoxxxico: Chilangocore / Crossover Since 1987

Few bands have left a mark on Mexican hardcore punk as profound as Atoxxxico. Emerging from the underground scene of Mexico City in the late 1980s, the band became one of the defining voices of a movement that was raw, confrontational, and deeply connected to the realities of working class life. At a time when hardcore was still carving out its identity in Latin America, Atoxxxico helped shape a distinctly Mexican sound aggressive, committed, and socially conscious.

Early releases such as "Punks de Mierda" and "Tú Tienes la Razón" captured the anger, frustration, and disillusionment felt by a generation confronting inequality, violence, and political neglect. Rather than following trends from abroad, the band forged a sound rooted in their own environment, creating music that felt immediate, authentic, and urgent.

Musically, Atoxxxico combined the breakneck speed and intensity of classic hardcore punk with metallic riffs and crossover influences that were ahead of their time within the Mexican scene. Their relentless rhythm section, abrasive guitar work, and chaotic yet memorable songwriting produced a sound that was both ferocious and infectious. While their recordings retained a rough, that became one of the band's greatest strengths, amplifying the sense of authenticity that defined their work.

What truly distinguished Atoxxxico, however, was their unwavering honesty. Their lyrics tackled police brutality, social injustice, life on the streets, and the contradictions that existed within punk culture itself. Rather than romanticizing rebellion, they documented the realities surrounding them with a level of sincerity that resonated deeply with listeners and helped establish a lasting connection between the band and the underground community.

More than three decades after their emergence, Atoxxxico remains a cornerstone of Mexican hardcore punk. Their legacy extends far beyond their discography, influencing countless punk, hardcore, crust, and crossover bands across Latin America. As both cultural documentarians and musical innovators, Atoxxxico helped define an era and continue to stand as one of the most important and respected names in the history of Mexican / Latin American hardcore.

Miguel "Thrasher" (Bass / Vocals), founding member, and one of the driving forces behind the band. Widely recognized as a pioneer of Mexican hardcore punk, played a crucial role in shaping Atoxxxico's sound, vision, and long lasting impact on the underground scene.

Forsaken Profits. ROAD RASH: Fast, Furious & Unapologetically Underground!

P.S. Please read the review to the end. Forsaken Profits needs total support.

Atlanta’s Forsaken Profits deliver a relentless blend of skate punk, crossover thrash, and hardcore punk that feels equally at home in a sweaty DIY venue or a chaotic skatepark session. Their sound is built on razor sharp riffs, breakneck tempos, aggressive vocals, and a raw underground attitude that never sacrifices energy for polish.

What makes Forsaken Profits stand out is their ability to balance old school thrash precision with the reckless spirit of hardcore and punk. Releases such as Lost in Translation, Decayed, and their latest album Road Rash (May 8, 2026) showcase a band that thrives on speed, intensity, and mosh inducing hooks while maintaining a strong DIY ethos.

Fourteen years is a fair old stint for any band, especially in the DIY scene, but Atlanta’s self-described “drinking band with a punk problem” Forsaken Profits are still going strong. To mark the occasion, the thrash-punk veterans have just unleashed a brand new single, “Decayed”. The track, which is out today, serves as the first taste of their upcoming full-length album due later in 2026. If you’re a fan of high-velocity skate-thrash, this one is right up your street. It’s got that technical precision of the 80s thrash giants but with the raw, unpolished aggression of underground hardcore. It’s fast, it’s heavy, and it’s a bit of a sonic middle finger to the status quo.

For fans of crossover thrash, skate punk, and hardcore that hits hard without losing its sense of fun, Forsaken Profits are a band worth blasting at maximum volume. Fast, furious, and unapologetically underground, they embody the kind of chaos that keeps punk and hardcore alive.

Forsaken Profits drop their latest release ROAD RASH on Friday, May 8th a fast, abrasive burst of skate punk and thrash energy. Raw, loud, and unapologetically DIY, the release captures the chaos of blown-out amps, late nights, and zero hesitation.
ROAD RASH will be available on VINYL with a free digital download.

Support Forsaken Profits, their drumer Joel was injured over the weekend.
