I remember posting a very short review of their first album, Into the Mouth of Hell, on the old blog sometime around mid-2014. That record completely blew my fucking mind. It was the kind of genuine ’90s metallic hardcore that instantly took me back to that era.
Yesterday, I got a message from the band, and it honestly made my day. I listened to the new album on my way home, and once again, it completely blew my fucking mind.
So, here’s a review of the latest from Decadence.
DECADENCE - OUT OF THE MOUTH OF HELL (2025)
Decadence (Andalusia, Spain) deliver a dark and heavy release that captures the raw intensity of the European hardcore underground. Out of the Mouth of Hell is driven by aggressive riffs, crushing heaviness, and a hostile atmosphere, keeping things focused and direct.
The tracks carry a strong sense of darkness, combining metallic heaviness with enough groove to keep the momentum moving. There is a dirty, edge throughout the release that gives it character and keeps the sound authentic.
Out of the Mouth of Hell is a solid and aggressive statement from a band clearly connected to the darker side of hardcore.
Recorded and mixed in the summer of 2024 at Estudio Setentaynueve in Jerez DLF, Andalusia, by Rafa Camisón. Mastered at West West Side Music in New York, USA, by Alan Douches.
